WHY IS PLEDGING IMPORTANT?
Pledging permits the donor to consider a wonderful gift of substance. It allows for a substantial gift within the economical means of the donor. For instance: Peter and Jane are asked to consider a pledge of $6,500. Peter and Jane do not have $6,500 at hand. But after prayerfully considering their finances throughout a five year period, Peter and Jane did find a way to work within their means a way to allot $25/week (approximately $100 per month) for the next five years for the campaign. Pledging allows for a thorough review of one’s finances. Through this review, one can assess what we can come to sacrifice, for three or five years, to continue building the Body of Christ.

HOW DO I PAY MY PLEDGE?
To make payments to the capital campaign, please use the white envelope labeled OUR STEPS TO THE FUTURE: Our First Step (A) that you receive with your regular offertory envelopes. If you currently do not receive our offertory envelopes, we will automatically enroll you to receive them when you make a pledge. If you are paying by check or money order, please make them payable to OUR FIRST STEP.

I’M SENDING MONEY FOR THE CAMPAIGN IN THE WHITE ENVELOPE AND I HAVE NOT SIGNED A PLEDGE CARD; DO I STILL HAVE TO SIGN A PLEDGE CARD?
YES. If you are already sending your contributions to the campaign using the capital campaign envelope, we thank you for your support response. However, to properly acknowledge your generous giving and to allow the parish finance committee to adequately plan the construction of the new Church during the course of the following years, we ask you to please sign a pledge card. To make a pledge, contact our office at (661) 288-0255.
