Dear Friends,

Thank you for taking the opportunity to learn more about the vision for the future of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church. It has been my pleasure and joy to minister to this wonderful community of faith, fellowship, and devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are thankful and grateful to all of our many priest, deacons, religious, and parishioners who throughout the years have responded to the call of making Our Lady of Perpetual Help a warm place where we can come together and celebrate the blessed gifts of Jesus Christ, who gave His life for our salvation.

Our parish family has beautifully flourished to more than 7,000 active families. With this wonderful growth, our current parking lot, church, and school have crossed the threshold of their service capacity. Accordingly, just as our predecessors faithfully faced the challenges of their time, as well as sought out to plan ahead for the future needs of the next generations of Catholics in the Santa Clarita Valley, we are now called forth by the Holy Spirit to do the same.

For the past five years, a Master Plan Committee has carefully and diligently examined, surveyed, and formulated a Master Plan to address the most critical building needs of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. After years of much prayer, consultation, and research, we have decided to move forward to address these important needs and not leave it to the future generations because by then, it will be too late.

The time interval of the Master Plan will occur during the next 15-20 years; therefore, the Master Plan is divided into three different phases. The first phase addresses the addition of three times more parking spaces, and construction of a new church. The second phase will address the remodeling of the old church into a parish center and the remodeling of the parish offices. The final phase will modify the school to double its student capacity and build a new gym/auditorium. Our total minimum need for the fulfillment of the Master Plan is $35,000,000.

To raise the necessary funds for this historical project, I announce the initiation of a major capital campaign entitled: Our Steps to the Future. To meet our total minimum need, we will divide our fund raising efforts into several steps accordingly with each construction phase. Our First Step is to raise the minimum need of $14,000,000 for the First Phase of the Master Plan through two capital campaign efforts: Our First Step (A) with a goal of $7,000,000; and subsequently, Our First Step (B) with a goal of $7,000,000.

As we embark in this exciting and paramount effort with Our Steps to the Future: Our First Step, I invite you to take a step of faith together with me in support of this historical effort.
I thank you in advance for your generous support and sacrificial commitment to this extraordinary effort. May the Blessings of Our Lady of Perpetual Help be with you and your loved ones.

Yours in Christ our Lord,

Rev. Msgr. Paul M. Montoya,
Pastor
